Basketball Game Preview: Colonial Christian Cougars vs. Crosspointe Christian Academy Panthers

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Colonial Christian Cougars challenge the Crosspointe Christian Academy Panthers at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday... Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Tuesday, Colonial Christian sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 37-34 victory over Kokomo HomeSchool.

Colonial Christian can attribute much of their success to Kate Minton, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 12 rebounds, and Stinna Grubb, who posted 12 points in addition to six boards and five assists.

Meanwhile, you're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that's exactly how it played out for Crosspointe Christian Academy on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 39-16 margin over Mooresville Christian. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four games by 23 points or more this season.

Crosspointe Christian Academy has also been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 4-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 22.0 points per game. As for Colonial Christian, their win bumped their record up to 5-3.

Colonial Christian won a matchup that couldn't have been any closer in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, slipping by Crosspointe Christian Academy 34-33. The rematch might be a little tougher for Colonial Christian since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
