Baseball Game Preview: Wolfe County Wolves vs. DeSales Colts

The Wolfe County Wolves will head out on the road to challenge the DeSales Colts at 10:00 a.m. on Monday. Wolfe County is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9 runs per game this season.

On Saturday, Wolfe County beat Payton College Prep 10-7.

Max Whisman was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits. Whisman was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with two RBI.

In other batting news, Jayden Molands was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. Brayden Wilson was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Meanwhile, DeSales faced Bullitt East in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. DeSales fell just short of Bullitt East by a score of 5-4.

DeSales' defeat dropped their record down to 7-2. As for Wolfe County, their record is now 6-1.
