Basketball Game Preview: Tate Aggies vs. Gulf Breeze Dolphins

Tate and Gulf Breeze are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2015, but not for long. The Tate Aggies will face off against the Gulf Breeze Dolphins on Wednesday. Tate is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last four games.

Tate is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Niceville 52-50.

Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Gulf Breeze's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took a 62-57 hit to the loss column at the hands of Milton. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Thursday (55), the Dolphins still had to take the loss.

Tate is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-9 record this season. As for Gulf Breeze, their loss dropped their record down to 19-4.

Tate came up short against Gulf Breeze in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, falling 77-64. Can Tate avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
