School for Entrepreneurship & Technology gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They blew past the Calexico Mission RoadRunners 50-30. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Lions as it put an end to their eight-game losing streak dating back to last season.
Calexico Mission's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sergio Jacobo, who scored eight points in addition to six rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Luis Arevalo, who had nine points plus three steals.
School for Entrepreneurship & Technology has already played their next matchup, a 62-43 loss against Horizon Prep on the 21st. As for Calexico Mission, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Monarch at 5:00 p.m. on December 5th.
