Basketball Game Preview: Manzano Monarchs vs. Santa Fe Demons

Manzano hasn't had much luck against Santa Fe recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Manzano Monarchs will look to defend their home court against the Santa Fe Demons at 7:00 p.m.

Last Tuesday, Manzano lost to Eldorado on the road by a 64-48 margin.

Meanwhile, Santa Fe came tearing into Tuesday's matchup with three straight wins and they left with even more momentum. They claimed a resounding 62-35 victory over the Jaguars.

Santa Fe has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.7 points per game. As for Manzano, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-9.

Manzano couldn't quite finish off Santa Fe when the teams last played back in February of 2024 and fell 63-61. Can Manzano avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
