Softball Recap: Springport Sets Scoring Season-High Against Concord

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Springport). They never let the Concord Yellowjackets get on the board and left with a 16-0 victory on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Spartans, who have now won ten games by seven runs or more so far this season.

Springport's win bumped their record up to 15-4. As for Concord, they are on a 14-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-9.

Springport wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, an 8-7 victory against Sand Creek on the 14th. As for Concord, they will venture away from home to square off against Colon at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Magi have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.9 runs per game on average), something the Yellowjackets will no doubt try to take advantage of.
