Basketball Recap: Shandon Comes Up Short

Shandon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 22nd straight loss dating back to last season. They were dealt a 75-10 defeat at the hands of the Coastal Christian Conquerors. The Outlaws were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 46-5.

Shandon's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Coastal Christian, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-11.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Shandon will venture away from home to take on Coast Union at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Shandon is facing Coast Union at the right time seeing as Coast Union is stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for Coastal Christian, they will head out on the road to square off against San Luis Obispo at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. San Luis Obispo knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully Coastal Christian likes a good challenge.
