Football Recap: Nitro Piles Up the Points Against Ripley

Nitro won the last time they faced Ripley and things went their way on Friday too. The Wildcats simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Vikings 48-6. Considering the Wildcats have won four matchups by more than 37 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Nitro's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was EIAN DUFFY, who threw for 323 yards and four touchdowns while completing 81.5% of his passes. MALACHI THOMPSON was in the mix too, providing the Wildcats with two TDs.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Nitro proved: they limited Ripley to a paltry 2.6 yards per carry. The team can thank BRAYLON PRICE for the heroic effort on defense: he. That's the most yards per carry they've posted since back in September of 2024.

The win made it two in a row for Nitro and bumps their season record up to 4-1. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 44.5 points over those games. As for Ripley, their loss dropped their record down to 3-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Nitro will square off against Point Pleasant at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
