There's no place like home for Fort Bend Willowridge, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Alief Hastings Bears on Friday. For the Eagles, this counts as revenge for the 3-2 win the Bears walked away with the last time they faced one another back in August of 2024.

Fort Bend Willowridge had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 19-25, 25-23, 25-20, 25-18.

Fort Bend Willowridge's victory bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Alief Hastings, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.

Coming up, Fort Bend Willowridge will head out on the road to take on Fort Bend Marshall at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Buffalos will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Eagles surely won't give up without a fight. As for Alief Hastings, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Westfield on the 23rd.
