Baseball Recap: Estill County Comes Up Short

If Estill County was riding high fresh off their 8-2 takedown of Cooper on Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Engineers lost 10-2 to the Corbin Redhounds on Saturday. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Engineers, who until this matchup were averaging 3.87 runs allowed.

Estill County saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bryce Drake, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.

With the defeat, Estill County broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 9-6. As for Corbin, they now have a winning record of 10-9.

As for Corbin, they will take on Williamsburg at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Redhounds are facing the Yellow Jackets at the right time seeing as the Yellow Jackets are stuck on an 11-game losing streak.
