Basketball Recap: Destiny Takes a Loss

Destiny was the 67-46 winner over Augustine Prep when they last played one another back in February of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Destiny were dealt a 106-73 defeat at the hands of the Augustine Prep Lions on Thursday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Thursday (64), Destiny still had to take the loss.

Having lost for the first time this season, Destiny fell to 2-1. As for Augustine Prep, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-6.

The future could be bright for both Destiny and Augustine Prep: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. Destiny will try to hand Stockbridge their sixth-straight loss when the two meet at 5:30 p.m. on February 14, 2025. Similarly, Augustine Prep will look to extend Pius XI Catholic's four-game losing streak when the meet at 5:45 p.m. on December 28th.
