Softball Recap: Elizabethtown Has No Trouble Against Ephrata

Elizabethtown was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last game, but they sure didn't let that happen against Ephrata on Tuesday. The Bears were the clear victors by a 15-0 margin over the Mountaineers. The result was nothing new for the Bears, who have now won six contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Elizabethtown has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.8 runs over those games. As for Ephrata, they dropped their record down to 5-4 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Elizabethtown wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 10-3 loss against Lampeter-Strasburg on the 9th. As for Ephrata, they have also already played their next contest, a 13-11 victory against Conestoga Valley on the 9th.
