Basketball Recap: Fayetteville Comes Up Short in High-Profile Game with Springdale

On Friday, Fayetteville faced Springdale in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Fayetteville took a 69-64 hit to the loss column at the hands of Springdale. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Springdale this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 51-47 back in January.

Fayetteville's loss dropped their record down to 14-10. As for Springdale, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 16 of their last 17 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-3 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Springdale beat Fayetteville by a score of 69-64 on Saturday.
