Preview: Warsaw Wildcats vs. Hermitage Hornets
Warsaw has enjoyed the comforts of home their last four games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will take on the Hermitage Hornets at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Missouri (Warsaw is ranked 215th, while Hermitage is ranked 195th).
Warsaw pushed their score all the way to 58 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell just short of Osceola by a score of 61-58.
Despite their loss, Warsaw saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Noah Siebert, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 rebounds, was perhaps the best of all. The game was Siebert's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Logan Gemes, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 10 rebounds.
Meanwhile, everything went Hermitage's way against Laquey on Tuesday as Hermitage made off with a 60-37 victory.
The losses dropped Warsaw to 2-4 and Osceola to 3-1.
Warsaw came up short against Hermitage in their previous matchup back in January, falling 44-37. Can Warsaw avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
