Basketball Recap: Archimedes Extends Winning Streak to Five

Archimedes waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. Everything went their way against the Morrisania Lions as they made off with a 68-43 victory. Archimedes has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matchups by 23 points or more this season.

Archimedes pushed their record up to 7-1 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 26.3 points per game. As for Morrisania, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season.

Archimedes will square off against Bathgate at 4:30 p.m. on January 23rd. Archimedes' defense has only allowed 27 points per game this season, so Bathgate's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Morrisania, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Morris at 4:30 p.m. on January 30th.
