Having struggled with four defeats in a row, Rockhurst turned things around against Staley on Monday. They put the hurt on the Falcons with a sharp 12-1 victory. While the Hawklets didn't have the best season last year (they finished 6-23), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Liberty hit Lee's Summit North with a five-run second inning on Saturday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Broncos lost 7-1 to the Blue Jays. The Broncos' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Lee's Summit North saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Henry Cole, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Rockhurst's win bumped their record up to 9-6. As for Lee's Summit North, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-8.
