Baseball Recap: Eight Straight Home Wins for Willow

Willow had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Warren Easton Fighting Eagles a 10-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Lions, who have now won four matches by eight runs or more so far this season.

Carter Ptak was excellent, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3.

Willow pushed their record up to 8-1 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs over those games. As for Warren Easton, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-4.
