Thomas Velarde put up the most runs he's had since back in March on Thursday. He got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. He was up against Del Norte and has quite the history against that squad, as he also had a great game the last time he faced them back in April of 2024. Velarde has become a key player for Valley: the team is undefeated when he posts at least one home run, but 6-10 otherwise.

Coming up, Velarde and Valley will host Bernalillo at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
