Basketball Recap: Lynn Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Lynn can now relate to. They took a 45-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hubbertville Lions on Tuesday. Sadly, that's the third time they've come up short against the Bears this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 52-36 back in January.

Georgia Gardner continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Hubbertville, putting up 24 points. Gardner is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 12 games she's played. Addison Tucker was another key player, posting three points and six steals.

Lynn now has a losing record at 10-11. As for Hubbertville, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 16-8.

Lynn will take on St. Bernard Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. St. Bernard Prep will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Lynn surely won't give up without a fight. Hubbertville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
