Basketball Recap: Emmanuel Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Emmanuel Christian Academy saw some tournament action on Thursday. The game between them and the Morgantown Christian Academy Mustangs didn't end well, with Emmanuel Christian Academy falling 66-48. While Emmanuel Christian Academy didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating Morgantown Christian Academy 13-7 in the first quarter.

Morgantown Christian Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Cade Spicer out in front who went 9 of 12 on his way to 22 points and five rebounds. Those 22 points gave Spicer a new career-high. Cole Mathess was another key player, going 6 for 14 en route to 16 points in addition to six boards and three steals.

Emmanuel Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Morgantown Christian Academy, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-1.
