Basketball Recap: California Military Institute Comes Up Short

On Thursday, the California Military Institute Rough Riders were beaten by the Elsinore Tigers 62-31. While losing is never fun, the Rough Riders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 994th, while the Tigers are ranked 418th).

California Military Institute now has a losing record at 8-9. As for Elsinore, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 13-8.

California Military Institute will challenge San Jacinto Valley Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Elsinore, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Temescal Canyon at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Elsinore's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last nine matches.
