Basketball Game Preview: Community Baptist Conqueror vs. Bethany Community Wolves

Community Baptist is 0-4 against Bethany Community since January of 2019 but things could change on Monday. The Community Baptist Conqueror will challenge the Bethany Community Wolves at 7:00 p.m.

Community Baptist is headed into Monday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their sixth straight game on Thursday. They were beaten by Shining Light Academy 76-38. While losing is never fun, the Conqueror can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 606th, while the Knights are ranked 262nd).

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bethany Community). They snuck past Clover Garden School with a 71-66 victory on Wednesday. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Wolves considering their 30-point performance the contest before.

Community Baptist better keep an eye on Elijah Harvey. He was instrumental in Bethany Community's win, putting up 31 points. The dominant performance gave Harvey a new career-high in points. Alex Bullard was another key player, scoring eight points.

Community Baptist's loss dropped their record down to 6-13. As for Bethany Community, their win bumped their record up to 4-24.

Community Baptist took a serious blow against Bethany Community when the teams last played back in January of 2020, falling 81-42. Can Community Baptist avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
