Basketball Game Preview: Watersprings Warriors vs. West Jefferson Panthers + How To Watch

The Watersprings Warriors are headed away from home for the first time to square off against the West Jefferson Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Watersprings will come into the game with an undefeated record on the line.

Watersprings is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Idaho's top teams: Butte County, who was ranked 18th at the time (Watersprings was ranked fourth). The Warriors came out on top against the Pirates by a score of 53-41 on Saturday.

It was another big night for Ryan Demkowicz, who shot 50% from the field to rack up 23 points in addition to seven boards and five steals. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last seven games he's played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Korban Nelson, who almost dropped a double-double with 13 points and nine assists.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask West Jefferson). They blew past Aberdeen, posting a 68-33 win. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

Watersprings' record now sits at 5-0. As for West Jefferson, their record is now 4-2.

Watersprings took a serious blow against West Jefferson when the teams last played back in January, falling 59-25. Can the Warriors avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
