West Las Vegas faced St. Michael in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Dons' pitchers stepped up to hand the Horsemen a 6-0 shutout. Considering the Dons have won ten matches by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory snapped West Las Vegas' losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 12-4 record. As for St. Michael's, their defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 17-2.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. West Las Vegas is set to challenge their familiar foe Robertson at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, St. Michael's will take on rival Santa Fe Indian at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
