Basketball Recap: Washington-Marion Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from ASHTON SAVOIE and MONTE FARMER

Washington-Marion was the 91-58 winner over Ville Platte when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Washington-Marion Charging Indians fell 54-46 to the Ville Platte Bulldogs on Tuesday. While the Charging Indians didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Bulldogs 17-10 in the first quarter.

Despite the loss, Washington-Marion had strong showings from MONTE FARMER, who posted 19 points, and ASHTON SAVOIE, who earned 14 points.

Washington-Marion's defeat dropped their record down to 9-12. As for Ville Platte, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-6.

Washington-Marion didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 54-51 victory against North Central on the 16th. As for Ville Platte, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 64-55 loss against Eunice on the 25th.
