Baseball Recap: Omaha North Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Omaha North, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They walked away with a 5-2 win over the Lincoln High Links on Thursday. This was payback for the Vikings, who suffered a 7-4 loss the last time these two teams met.

Chance Kinman made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out 12 batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. Those 12 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

Kinman wasn't the only one making solid contact as two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Connor O'Neill, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Omaha North's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-11. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Lincoln High, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 14 of their last 15 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-18 record this season.

As of now, neither Omaha North nor Lincoln High have any future games scheduled.
