            Volleyball Recap: Wachusett Regional Mountaineers vs. Westborough Rangers        
        
		
        
        
            Wachusett Regional lost against Westborough back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result  on Friday. The Mountaineers fell  3-1 to the Rangers.
 Wachusett Regional started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 25-20, 25-20,  25-20.
 Julia Langhill paced Wachusett Regional's offense, picking up 11 kills. Langhill got some help from  Grace Coppolino and her 19 assists. Coppolino was also solid from the service line:  she led the team with six aces.
 Westborough can attribute much of their success to  Leila Ditullio, who  had 16  digs and two  aces. That's the most  digs  Ditullio has posted since back in September.  Emily Coffin also deserves some recognition as  she  had her first  dig of the season.
Wachusett Regional's defeat  ended  a  five-match streak of wins at home  and  dropped them to 10-4. As for Westborough, their win was  their fifth straight on the road, which  pushed their record up to 10-2.
 Looking ahead, Wachusett Regional will venture away from home to  face off against North Middlesex Regional  at 5:15  p.m.  on Tuesday. Westborough has  already played their next  match (against Southington), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
