Adam Griffith of Calhoun (Ga.) chooses Crimson Tide over LSU and Vanderbilt.
Junior Day paid immediate dividends on Saturday for the University of Alabama when it received a commitment from standout kicker Adam Griffith of
Calhoun (Ga.), according to the Chattanooga Times Free Press.
The 5-10, 160-pound junior, who was born in Poland, also considered LSU and Vanderbilt.
Griffith had a brilliant junior year, kicking 10 field goals – three over 50 yards – and 50 of 51 extra-point attempts while making All-State. He also placed 43 of his 56 kickoffs into the end zone for the 14-1 Class AA state runner-up
Yellowjackets.
He is the sixth Crimson Tide commitment in the class of 2012.
