Recap: Martins Mill Mustangs vs. Cross Roads Bobcats

The Martins Mill Mustangs scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 97-22 win over Cross Roads on the road. The win was nothing new for Martins Mill as they're now sitting on eight straight.

Leading Martins Mill to victory were Archer Schneider and Jak Kinder. Schneider almost dropped a double-double on 33 points and nine rebounds, while Kinder went 11 for 17 from beyond the arc en route to 33 points and 6 assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Schneider has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryder Marsh, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 12 rebounds.

Martins Mill's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 26-4. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.7 points per game. As for Cross Roads, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-14.

Martins Mill will head out on the road to take on LaPoynor at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. LaPoynor knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past 23 matches -- so hopefully Martins Mill likes a good challenge. As for Cross Roads, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Frankston at 7:00 p.m. Cross Roads will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 1338th, while Frankston is ranked 487th).
