American has no trouble against Miami Beach

The American Patriots came tearing into Tuesday's match with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 35.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They strolled past Miami Beach with points to spare, taking the game 80-64. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.

American had a senior duo take command as Quentin Bush scored 24 points along with six assists and three steals and Kennith Johnson scored 14 points along with six rebounds and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Bush has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Derrius Black, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds.

American is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record this season. As for Miami Beach, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-5.

American will head out on the road to challenge West Broward at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. West Broward will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 432nd, while American is ranked 215th). As for Miami Beach, they will be playing at home against Carol City at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
