Baseball Recap: Exeter Beats Caruthers for Their Third Straight Victory

Exeter waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Everything went their way against the Caruthers Blue Raiders as they made off with a 9-1 victory. That's two games straight that the Monarchs have won by exactly eight runs.

Jacob Molina was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Tyler Trimble was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-2.

Molina wasn't the only one making solid contact: Exeter kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 11 hits in three consecutive matches.

Exeter's record now sits at 15-5. As for Caruthers, their loss dropped their record down to 7-12.

Exeter didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 6-0 win against Kern Valley on the 16th. As for Caruthers, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, an 11-1 victory against Mira Monte on the 16th.
