Basketball Recap: Hobgood Charter Comes Up Short

Hobgood Charter lost against Ocracoke two weeks ago, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Hobgood Charter Raiders fell to the Ocracoke Dolphins 50-44. The Raiders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Hobgood Charter still got an impressive performance from Hudson Roberson, who went 5-for-11 on his way to 15 points and eight rebounds. Roberson's afternoon made it seven games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Khrie Rascoe, who went 5-for-10 en route to 15 points.

Hobgood Charter's defeat dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Ocracoke, the win was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-3.

Coincidentally, Hobgood Charter and Ocracoke will both be playing Mattamuskeet the next time they take the court. Hobgood Charter will head out to face Mattamuskeet at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, while Ocracoke will host them at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
