Lincoln has no trouble against Sergeant Bluff-Luton

The Lincoln Lynx can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They strolled past Sergeant Bluff-Luton with points to spare, taking the game 64-50. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Lincoln also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.

Lincoln found their leader in underclassman Addie Naughton, who scored 18 points along with seven assists and four steals. That's the first time this season that Naughton scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Hutson Rau, who scored 14 points along with seven rebounds.

Lincoln now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Sergeant Bluff-Luton, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.

Lincoln will head out on the road to challenge Sioux City East at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Sioux City East will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive. Sergeant Bluff-Luton won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Tri-Valley at 7:00 p.m. on January 20th. Tri-Valley presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Sergeant Bluff-Luton in their respective states (Tri-Valley is ranked 58th in South Dakota, while Sergeant Bluff-Luton is ranked 216th in Iowa).
