Basketball Game Preview: Greenville Yellow Jackets vs. Lowell Red Arrows

Greenville is 2-8 against Lowell since February of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Greenville Yellow Jackets will face off against the Lowell Red Arrows at 7:00 p.m. Greenville will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.

While Greenville didn't have the best season last year (they finished 6-17), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They skirted past Kenowa Hills 51-49.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Lowell, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They pulled ahead with a 35-34 photo finish over Cedar Springs on Tuesday. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Red Arrows' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 326th, while the Red Hawks are ranked 137th).

Greenville's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-1. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.8 points per game. As for Lowell, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-7.

Greenville took a serious blow against Lowell in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, falling 63-25. Can Greenville avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
