Football Game Preview: Lindbergh Flyers vs. Parkway West Longhorns

The Lindbergh Flyers will venture away from home to face off against the Parkway West Longhorns at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Lindbergh has given up an average of 26 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Lindbergh managed to slip by Ritenour the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Flyers had to suffer through a 41-3 loss at the hands of the Huskies. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Flyers have suffered against the Huskies since October 1, 2016.

Meanwhile, while Parkway West put up plenty of points on Friday, the same can't be said for Parkway Central. The Longhorns took their matchup with ease, bagging a 49-0 victory over the Colts. That 49 point margin sets a new team best for the Longhorns this season.

The win keeps Parkway West at an undefeated 5-0. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 38.0 points this season. As for Lindbergh, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.

Everything went Lindbergh's way against Parkway West in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as Lindbergh made off with a 38-14 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Flyers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
