Gull Lake was the 3-0 winner over Marshall when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Blue Devils took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Redhawks on Monday. The Blue Devils' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Gull Lake started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 20-25, 25-20, 25-15, 25-18.

Gull Lake's loss dropped their record down to 12-11. As for Marshall, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 17 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-7-1 record this season.

Gull Lake has already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Kalamazoo Christian on the 29th. As for Marshall, they will host Northwest at 6:30 p.m. on the 8th.
