Buffalo came tearing into Monday's matchup with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.4 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 7-2 win over the Clay County Panthers. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-1 back in March.

The team relied heavily on Caiden Craig, who went 2-for-4 with three stolen bases and two runs. He is becoming a predictor of Buffalo's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 8-2 (and 4-6 when he doesn't). Nolan Criner was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI.

Buffalo pushed their record up to 12-8 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Clay County, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-9.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Buffalo will welcome Charleston Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Irish's pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so the Bison's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Clay County, they will be playing in front of their home fans against South Harrison at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Hawks will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Panthers surely won't give up without a fight.
