Basketball Game Preview: O'Fallon Panthers vs. Quincy Blue Devils

The O'Fallon Panthers will square off against the Quincy Blue Devils at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. O'Fallon will be strutting in after a victory while Quincy will be coming in after a loss.

O'Fallon is headed into the match having just posted their biggest win since November 30, 2024 on Thursday. They really took it to Cahokia for the full four quarters, racking up a 67-35 victory. The win continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Comanches: they've now won three in a row.

Meanwhile, Quincy was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Tuesday as they fell 58-53 to Rock Island. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Blue Devils came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked third, while the Rocks are ranked 28th).

O'Fallon's victory bumped their record up to 9-21. As for Quincy, their defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 13-1 and their overall record down to 27-3.

O'Fallon suffered a grim 67-44 defeat to Quincy when the teams last played back in December of 2024. Can O'Fallon avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
