Softball Game Preview: Tri-Cities Prep Jaguars vs. Columbia Coyotes

The Tri-Cities Prep Jaguars will take on the Columbia Coyotes at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Tri-Cities Prep has given up an average of 16.1 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

It was a proper cat-fight when Tri-Cities Prep took on White Swan on Tuesday. The Jaguars came out on top against the Cougars by a score of 17-12. The victory was some much needed relief for the Jaguars as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Columbia was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 9-2 to Liberty Christian.

Columbia saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Makena Kranz, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one run. That triple marked the first that Kranz has hit this season.

Columbia now has a losing record of 7-8. As for Tri-Cities Prep, their win bumped their record up to 3-10.

Everything went Tri-Cities Prep's way against Columbia in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as Tri-Cities Prep made off with a 22-2 victory. Do the Jaguars have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Coyotes turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
