Softball Recap: Milledgeville's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Tuesday

Milledgeville dropped their record down to 11-6 on Tuesday, which also ended the team's seven-game streak of wins. They lost 6-0 to the Morrison Mustangs. Having soared to a lofty 13 runs in the game before, the Missiles' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

As for Morrison, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games.

For Morrison's part, they saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bella Duncan, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and two runs.

Coming up, Milledgeville will face off against Fulton at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Morrison will be paying especially close attention to the Missiles' match: after the Missiles face off against the Steamers, they'll take on Morrison again at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
