Basketball Game Preview: Mid-Peninsula Dragons vs. KIPP Esperanza Eagles

The Mid-Peninsula Dragons will head out to challenge the KIPP Esperanza Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. KIPP Esperanza took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Mid-Peninsula, who comes in off a win.

On Friday, Mid-Peninsula strolled past San Francisco Christian with points to spare, taking the game 61-47. The Dragons haven't had any issues with the Trojans recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, KIPP Esperanza played a tough game on Thursday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against KIPP San Jose Collegiate, falling 54-24. The Eagles were down 45-23 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

KIPP Esperanza's loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Mid-Peninsula, their win bumped their record up to 7-10.

Mid-Peninsula took their victory against KIPP Esperanza in their previous meeting back in January by a conclusive 63-40. The rematch might be a little tougher for Mid-Peninsula since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
