Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Griffin). They simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat the Northside Patriots 60-14. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Bears with their most commanding win of the season.

The win (which was Griffin's fifth in a row) raised their record to 5-2. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 14.2 points on average over those games. As for Northside, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-5.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Griffin is set to face off against their familiar foe Jonesboro at 7:30 p.m. on the 17th. Meanwhile, Northside will take on rival Starr's Mill at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
