Volleyball Recap: Fairfax Comes Up Short

Fairfax was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Alhambra Lions. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-2 on Monday.

Fairfax was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Alhambra work for it, especially in the second set. The final score came out to 25-16, 29-27, 25-8.

Fairfax's loss dropped their record down to 2-18. As for Alhambra, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-13.

Looking ahead, Fairfax will welcome Maricopa at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Alhambra, they have already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against Carl Hayden Community on the 25th.
