Basketball Recap: Forest Hill Takes a Loss

Forest Hill extended their losing streak to three on Thursday, dropping them down to 3-7. They were outmatched by the Centennial Eagles and fell 72-35. The Falcons were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2022.

As for Centennial, they now have a winning record of 5-4. They have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three games by 28 points or more this season.

Jayden Prosper produced another solid performance shooting 75% from the field en route to 23 points and six steals. Centennial is 4-2 when Prosper posts three or more steals, but 1-2 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Reggie Hayes, who posted ten points along with eight rebounds and five assists.

Coming up, Forest Hill won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Stoneman Douglas at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Falcons will be up against the Eagles' rather soft defense (which has allowed 66.88 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Centennial, they also won't have to wait long for more action: they'll challenge Treasure Coast at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
