For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Iowa City and Linn-Mar meet (four straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Wednesday. The Little Hawks fell 6-2 to the Lions. The Little Hawks haven't had much luck with the Lions recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Iowa City's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 6-5. As for Linn-Mar, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-1.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Lions beat Iowa City by a score of 8-2 later that day.
