Baseball Recap: Animo Robinson Comes Up Short

After soaring to ten runs the game before, Animo Robinson was a bit more limited in their match on Monday. They came up short against the Stella High Charter Academy Eagles, falling 13-2. The Monarchs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2019.

Animo Robinson saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Daniel De Leon, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one RBI. De Leon has been hot recently, having posted two or more stolen bases the last three times he's played.

Animo Robinson's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Stella High Charter Academy, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2-1.

Looking ahead, Animo Robinson will welcome University at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Stella High Charter Academy, they will be playing at home against Animo Venice at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
