It's playoff time, and Slinger had no trouble coming through when it counted. They came out on top against the Watertown Goslings by a score of 7-3 on Thursday. That's more bragging rights for the Owls, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The team relied heavily on Chase Leverance, who went 3-for-4 with one home run and three runs. That's the most runs he has posted since back in May. Macay Wagner was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

Slinger was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .414. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .400 or higher in four consecutive matches.

Slinger's win bumped their record up to 21-6. As for Watertown, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 16-11.

Coming up, Slinger will face off against Beaver Dam on Tuesday. The Golden Beavers will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something the Owls surely won't give up without a fight. Watertown does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
