Santana won the last time they faced El Cajon Valley and things went their way on Friday too. The Sultans walked away with a 21-14 victory over the Braves.

Julian Mayers had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 137 yards and two touchdowns. Those two rushing touchdowns gave him a new career-high.

Santana didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited El Cajon Valley to a completion percentage of just 30%. That dominant aerial defense primarily came from five players: Kolten Thornton, Anthony Terry, Dawson DelaCruz, Xander Bennett, and Caleb Carnes, who each logged one passes deflected. Sadly, that's becoming something of a trend for Santana; they were averaging 60.8%completion percentage earlier this season, but in their last three matchups they've fallen to only 60.8%.

Santana's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for El Cajon Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.
