Soccer Recap: St. Augustine Comes Up Short

St. Augustine was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They lost 8-0 to the Saint Mary's Hall Barons. While losing is never fun, St. Augustine can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 772nd, while Saint Mary's Hall are ranked 250th).

St. Augustine's loss dropped their record down to 1-14. As for Saint Mary's Hall, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That somehow still isn't as good as their 6-1-1 record this season.

St. Augustine will head out on the road to square off against Alexander at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Saint Mary's Hall, they will be playing in front of their home fans against San Antonio Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Saint Mary's Hall's defense better be ready for this one: San Antonio Christian have averaged an impressive 5.7 goals per game this season.
