Football Recap: Carver Comes Up Short at Home Against Whitney Young

Carver unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They had to suffer through a 41-0 loss at the hands of the Whitney Young Dolphins. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Challengers have suffered since September 7, 2024.

Maxwell Warner had an outrageously good game for Whitney Young as he rushed for 152 yards and two TDs on only nine carries. That's the most rushing touchdowns Warner has posted since back in September of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Von Konrad, who threw for 161 yards and three touchdowns.

Looking ahead, Carver will welcome Thornton Fractional North at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Whitney Young, they are taking a road trip to take on Perspectives Leadership/Perspectives-IIT Math & Science/Joslin at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
